This is the PROGRAM of the

Kingston Numismatic Society

We have an auction twice a year (June and December), but I'm afraid this is strictly members' only.
In January there is no formal meeting, but an informal gathering is usually held at the house of one of the members.

September is the Annual General Meeting - not usually as boring as this might sound, because it is followed by an illustrated talk.
One meeting is devoted to members' short talks, usually on a set theme, plus our annual Display Competion, and a perpetual cup is awarded for what is voted to be the best display.
The remaining meetings are normally talks by visiting or guest speakers, or sometimes by one of our own "celebrities"!

Here is the program for the current year (2006/7):

September 21st ... Annual General Meeting, followed by a short talk

October 19th ... Member’s Evening. Talks on Your “One Favourite Coin” plus The Annual Display Competition.

November 16th ... “Treasures of the Dark Ages” by Revd. Simon Coupland

December 14th ... 76th Members' Auction

January (2007) ... No formal meeting – informal gathering at house of a member

Our monthly meetings start at 7.30 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month (except December and January) at
KING ATHELSTAN SCHOOL
VILLIERS ROAD
KINGSTON-UPON-THAMES
SURREY, ENGLAND

The December meeting is held as above but on the second Thursday (so as not to conflict with Christmas preparations).
